About Me
My name is Danielle Corbett. I'm a relational, integrative psychotherapist offering online and face-to-face therapy in Finsbury Park (N4) and Walthamstow (E17).
I'm an NHS-trained therapist with experience working in GP practices across South London through the IAPT programme, supporting diverse clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and long-standing emotional patterns. I'm a fully accredited member of the BACP (not just registered), meaning I've met their higher standards of practice, competency, and ethical commitment.
What Makes My Approach Different
Many people come to me after therapy that didn't quite "land"—often because it felt too vague, too passive, or didn't address the practical how of change. What clients usually say makes a difference with me is the blend of clarity and compassion. I can work in a concrete, structured way when needed—using neuroscience, psychoeducation, and evidence-based tools—while also offering a calm, containing space for more complex or vulnerable emotions.
I adapt to how you think and learn. If you work best with frameworks and data, we'll use them. If you need a slower, exploratory pace to understand what's happening underneath, we'll do that. The aim is for therapy to feel both safe and genuinely useful.
My integrative approach draws on:
Attachment theory: to understand recurring patterns in relationships and why you might push people away or struggle to trust
CBT frameworks: to shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, like breaking rumination loops or challenging your inner critic
Neuroscience and psychoeducational: to help things "click" and feel less overwhelming
Relational and psychodynamic therapy: to explore deeper emotional themes and past experiences
I'm particularly experienced in trauma-informed work—including developmental trauma, complex PTSD, and attachment wounds—and I'm comfortable working with emotions that can feel harder to bring to therapy, such as anger, emotional shutdown, frustration, or shame.
